The intimate Chandelier.
Inspired by Gaudí’s catenary arches to create a piece with large dimensions where the alabaster and its warm, intimate light stand out.
The chrome structure with a 1.7 m diameter, composed of 30 alabaster tulips and a central black marble counterweight create a classic chandelier with a contemporary style.

[f. GEOM.] From latin catēnarĭus ‘own chain’.
Architecturally, a catenary arch has the ability to withstand the weight of the material from which it is constructed, without collapsing. For an arch of uniform density and thickness, supporting only its own weight, the catenary is the ideal curve
Catenaria’s tulips are made of alabaster,
a translucent mineral that was usedin ancient Egypt
and at the beginning of the 20th century began
to be used as a way to diffuse light.
Catenaria was presented
at Euroluce Milan 2019.
